It is not known at what stage the family name became Pochi. It is possible that Bhikaiji whose direct ancestry from Sorabji > Ramji Mehta remains unproven moved to a different area (Kutri Khao Tekro) and either was disowned or the family name was changed at that stage which is why the direct link is difficult to establish.
