He began his career as a clerk before he went into trading. After 1899, he came to Calcutta to work with Meherwanji Nanabhai's Mehta's offices as Head Clerk. After his death, his son Minocher took the job. Children: 2. Minocher MehtaMinocher took the job of Head Clerk at Meherwanji Mehta's firm in Calcutta upon the death of his father who had occupied the position after returning from Formosa (Taipei) where he ran that branch of E. N. Mehta and Co. When Meherwanji's business folded, Minocher joined a bank in Bombay. | |||
